Studio Policies.
The standards that keep every Chef Music Records session focused, professional, and creative.
Effective June 24, 2026
These Studio Policies apply to every recording session conducted by Chef Music Records, whether at our recording studio partner or any other Chef Music Records location. By booking a session, you agree to these policies.
Studio Location & Appointments
- Recording sessions are held at Hilltop Recording Studios, 26302 S. Western Ave. Suite #6, Lomita, CA 90717.
- All sessions are by appointment only. No walk-ins are accepted.
- Our 444 W. Ocean Blvd. Suite 800, Long Beach, CA 90802 address is an administrative office. No recording sessions, payments, or studio business are conducted at that location.
Booking Policy
- Sessions are scheduled by phone only.
- Call 844-273-2444 to check current availability.
- Additional studio time may be available and is billed separately if scheduling permits.
Session Rules
- Recording time is for vocal tracking only and does not include mixing nor mastering.
- All sessions include an engineer.
- All sessions will be recorded in ProTools.
- Capacity: There is a 4 person maximum per session.
- There is no smoking, vaping, or use of cannabis products inside the studio or anywhere on the premises.
- You are allowed to bring food into the studio.
Payment & Refunds
- Payment is required in advance to complete the booking process.
- Studio time is nonrefundable.
- Unused studio time does not rollover.
- Prepaid studio time expires 90 days from the purchase date.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
- Rescheduling studio time requires a 24-hour advance notice in order to retain hours.
- You may cancel your session at any time and for any reason by phone or email.
- If you do not cancel your studio time 24 hours before your session, you will lose your hours.
File Delivery
- Engineer will send MP3, WAV, and ProTools session files via email after the session.
- Files expire after 3 days — download immediately and back them up to avoid losing your files.
- Please have a hard drive to back up your ProTools session files.
- The studio is not responsible for files after the session.

Parking
- Parking is available on-site at our partner recording studio location.
- Chef Music Records is not responsible for vehicles, personal items, or instruments left on the premises.
Intellectual Property
- Artists retain ownership of their original recordings and performances.
- Chef Music Records retains ownership of its productions, beats, instrumentals, mixes, masters, and engineering work unless rights are transferred in a separate written agreement.
- Use of any Chef Music Records-owned instrumental, beat, or production in a commercial release requires a written license.
- Chef Music Records may use approved photos, video clips, and short audio excerpts of sessions for promotional purposes unless the artist opts out in writing in advance.
