File Storage & Delivery.
How session files are delivered, stored, and retained for Free Artist Accounts and Artist Vault Members.

Chef Music Records delivers session reference mixes, stems, mixes, masters, and related files through the Artist Portal. File retention depends on whether the artist has a Free Artist Account or an active Artist Vault Membership.
Delivery
- Files are delivered through the Artist Portal once a session is complete and any required mixing or mastering is finished.
- Artists are notified when new files become available.
Free Artist Accounts
- Files remain available for 90 days after upload.
- Files may be archived after 90 days.
- Archived files may be permanently deleted after an additional 30 days.
- Long-term storage is not guaranteed for Free Artist Accounts.
Artist Vault Members
- Files remain available while the Artist Vault Membership is active.
- Membership includes extended file storage benefits, including secure long-term retention of session files.
- If membership ends, retained files may revert to the Free Artist Account retention schedule and become subject to archival and deletion.
Artist Responsibility
- Artists are responsible for downloading delivered files promptly.
- Artists are responsible for maintaining their own backups across multiple devices or cloud services.
- Lost local copies do not entitle an artist to free redelivery of files that have been archived or deleted.
No Guarantee of Permanent Storage
Chef Music Records does not guarantee permanent storage of any uploaded or delivered file, even for Artist Vault Members. Files may be archived, moved, or removed at any time at Chef Music Records’ discretion to manage storage capacity, operational costs, or platform changes.
Not Responsible For Loss
Chef Music Records is not responsible for lost, deleted, corrupted, expired, or otherwise inaccessible files after delivery, including files lost by the artist after download.
Redelivery
If files are still available on Chef Music Records’ systems, we will use reasonable efforts to redeliver them on request. Redelivery may be subject to a handling fee at Chef Music Records’ discretion if the files require restoration from archive.
